Build It- The PRI BIO Sales Engineer will support the Sales Team with proposal and contract creation, phone or face-to-face support and other projects.

Own it- The Sales Engineer is responsible for understanding a customer's requirements and their nuances and effectively drafting and communicating the optimal solution in the form of a proposal. Sales Engineers are knowledgeable about the latest advances in PRI systems, applications and technology.

Key Responsibilities & Functions

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the products and services of PRI technologies sufficiently to present the advantages and benefits to prospective clients
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities in assigned territory, in line with corporate growth expectations and strategy - participate in trade shows, make presentations to clients, develop proposals, and close potential sales opportunities
  • Travel, routinely, throughout the territory with the purpose of seeking new potential customers, following up on leads, attending conferences, etc.
  • Participate in and contribute to sales and strategy meetings; assist in the development of marketing materials and sales campaigns
  • Assist in defining and pursuing opportunities for new product development to the benefit of PRI
  • Work closely with the post-order team to ensure seamless customer service from the hand-off to project management through the production and installation phases.
  • Be an active team player throughout PRI to help meet company objectives continually seek and interpret competitive information and report, through weekly meetings to help inform and guide senior leadership decisions
  • Proper maintenance of the CRM database promptly entered and accurate sales call reports and logged communications; prompt completion of database maintenance activities
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales goals
  • Enforce pricing integrity and sales policy as required
  • Tradeshow reports submitted promptly upon completion of show
  • Collaborates with engineering resources to complete all design phases
  • Supports the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
  • Actively support and adhere to the company's safety programs

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Sales experience with industrial machinery, capital goods, engineered products and related activities.
  • Expertise in how to communicate features and benefits of systems and equipment; know the technical application of equipment systems; ability to understand the complexities of system integration and to foresee and communicate problematic situations
  • Sales experience building long-term customer relationships, including interpretation of customers' needs, defining fulfillment of those needs and insuring long term support
  • Demonstrated ability to discuss problems and negotiate mutual agreements with consulting engineers, contractors and customers
  • Ability to develop sales strategy and implement the approved business plan to increase market share
  • Experience in the analysis of competitors' activities and evaluate market feedback to identify opportunities
  • Must have a general understanding of the financial aspects of various company structures to develop project compliance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to read blue prints/drawings
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time and will include some overseas trips; must have current passport or ability to obtain one in the short-term
  • Expected to attend and/or participate in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Ethical and trustworthy characteristics are key
  • Positions is remote

Strongly Preferred

  • Spanish and/or other multi-lingual skills is a plus
  • Technical degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil engineering or science field.
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of BioTech/Pharma market and/or containment/laboratory environment
  • Project management experience in laboratory facilities.
  • Capital equipment sales experience in the BioPharm space
