Progressive Recovery Inc (PRI) has ongoing openings for Field Service Technicians.

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the inspection of all field utilities (water, steam, pneumatic and electrical) when commissioning the PRI equipment. The Technician will perform testing on the operational sequencing of the PRI equipment as well as the testing of all safety alarms. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for training the Operators and Maintenance Personnel on the operation and safeties of PRI equipment. They will generate Service and Expense Reports for reference by PRI Management and the Accounting Department. The Technician will report any design or product deficiencies to PRI Engineering and Management.

Key Responsibilities & Functions

  • Inspection of field utilities referencing the P& ID for proper sizing and materials per local building codes.
  • Inspection of the electrical wiring referencing Class 1 Division 1 & 2 locations. Inspection of Intrinsically Safe electrical requirements per the National Electric Code.
  • Testing and troubleshooting of the PLC programming for deficiencies and proper operation with a laptop computer.
  • The training of Plant Personnel to ensure proper understanding of day to day operation of the PRI equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on PRI equipment to maintain peak efficiency.
  • Generate feedback (reports) to PRI Management, Sales and Customer Service departments.
  • Provide feedback to the Sales Department during the submittal stage of the sales order.
  • Provide phone support for trouble shooting Customer problems.
  • Provide assistance to Test Bay Personnel when necessary.

Job Requirements

  • One year of technical school experience or two years of technical field experience such as electrical knowledge or certification, control logic experience.
  • Clean driving record with valid driver license.
  • Mechanical knowledge of pumps, piping, pneumatics.
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley Logix 500 or 5000 programming.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word programs to generate reports.
  • Knowledge of lock out tag out procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to perform in pressure situations.
  • Ability to perform confined space entries into openings of sixteen inches minimum.
  • Hands on experience with design, fabrication and service of large process equipment.
  • Understand process flow schematics, P&ID's, electrical and mechanical schematics
